Connect business sector with biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability in Vietnam

On 25 June, the Networking Event – Connecting the private sector with biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability was organised successfully in Da Nang city, Vietnam.

The event attracted the participation of 80 representatives from companies, civil society organisations (CSOs), local authority, the media, and local community.

With the purpose of creating a bridge between the corporate sector and CSOs operating in the fields of biodiversity conservation and environmental protection, the event went smoothly and even beyond expectations.

For businesses, this was a great opportunity for them to access a bank of ideas about biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability initiatives from Vietnamese CSOs. Moreover, these firms also had the opportunity to increase their connection and reputation with their customers by contributing to these projects.

At the event, the participants visited the booths of CSOs which were designed in their ornate and eye-catching styles. Each booth was a story that CSOs wanted through which to introduce their projects, their missions as well as convey the messages of biodiversity conservation and environmental protection.

Furthermore, the event also aimed to raise awareness of the local community that they can always contribute their small parts to the journey of environmental sustainability with their small behaviours.

The event was organised within the framework of the project “Establishing a funding foundation for biodiversity protection and environmental sustainability in Danang City, Vietnam” (in short, the “Conservation Fund” project) implemented by GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Centre (GreenViet, Vietnam) – the lead and Gustav-Stresemann-Institut e. V. (GSI, Germany) and co-funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam.

Visible Impact is partnering with GSI to conduct several project activities.
